When volunteers are involved in youth activities, youth protection requirements may apply. Youth activity organizers are responsible for ensuring volunteers understand and adhere to the youth protection policy (UW-1045), including required screening and training obligations.

VolunteerMatters
VolunteerMatters is the university’s system for managing volunteer engagements. Schools, colleges, and divisions may choose to use VolunteerMatters as an optional tool to set up and document volunteer projects in accordance with UW–5001.
