Youth Activities: Protection and Engagement Group

The Youth Activities: Protection and Engagement Group, coordinated by the Office of Youth Protection, welcomes all University of Wisconsin–Madison employees interested in youth activities to join. This group holds monthly meetings from September to May focused on promoting safe and effective environments for young people involved in UW-Madison activities. Meetings cover updates on relevant policies, laws, and licensing requirements, as well as strategies for implementing these requirements.

It is highly recommended that at least one representative from each youth activity on campus attends each meeting. Group members include:

  • current and prospective youth activity directors, administrators, and staff; and
  • professionals from the Office of Youth Protection, Compliance, Risk Management, Housing and Conference Services, University Health Services, and other departments that support youth activities on and off campus.
