Campus Offices with Related Resources
In addition to the Office of Youth Protection, there are other campus departments that have resources and requirements that may impact your youth activity. Examples include Risk Management, Office of Compliance (ADA, Title IX), Human Resources, Housing and Conference Services, and Department of Agriculture Trade and Consumer Protections (DATCP).

Office of Risk Management provides special accident insurance as a program that provides accidental injury protection for youth activities administered by campus departments. Youth activities where the university provides custodial care of youth participants, will have access to the camps and clinics insurance offered through UW-Madison Risk Management. Youth camps and clinics offered by UW-Madison are provided camps and clinics insurance coverage for participants at a minimal cost. Non-Employee Incident Report Form
All accidents and injuries that occur during the youth activity or program must be reported using the university’s Non-Employee Incident Report Form.
The Office of Compliance works closely with Office of Youth Protection to promote compliance with various campus policies, state laws, and federal laws. One of those laws is Title IX, which protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities. Campus Incident Reporting Form (for Sexual Misconduct and Clery Violations)
The Office of Human Resources supports various functions including recruitment, hiring, screening, training, and performance management. All employees or volunteers in a youth activity need to be screened and trained according to their role classification.
University Housing Conference & Event Services offer full-service event planning, camp accommodations, catering, and conference organization for campus partners and public clients.
The McBurney Disability Resource Center is UW-Madison’s resource for disability-related accommodations. McBurney Disability Resource Cetner works to provide resources for visitors to UW-Madison looking to receive disability-related accommodations. Visitors can include guests, program participants, job applicants, event attendees, and generally anyone attending an event hosted by a UW-Madison entity.
